If you're in Sonoma, come on in! All of our cheeses are available to taste, and
we love to talk about food. The gossip and coffee are always fresh.
We take the day off every Monday, but otherwise you can find us here between 10
a.m. and 6 p.m., except Sundays when we open at 11 and aim to close by 5 p.m.
Call ahead if you have a special request, are ordering for an event, or have any
questions. Or send us an email.
We can keep details of your preferences and shopping history at the counter for
your reference, if you like.

GIFT CERTIFICATES
A gift certificate is a great idea if you have friends living in Sonoma and you
want to give them a taste treat from the store. Gift certificates can also be
used with a mail order if sent in with the order. They are available in any amount,
starting at $20.00. Order by mail or fax or call the store to arrange for one to be available
at the counter for someone.

Mail Order is available for any of our cheeses or other products that you find listed on the Buy Cheese page of this website, with delivery to addresses in the continental
US only. Orders are accepted by fax or mail (Sorry, no online ordering at this time.) Minimum mail order is $25.

ORDERING INFO
When ordering for an event, please let us know your date. We suggest that you
request that your items be delivered at least 2 days before your party in case
of delays. If for any reason shipment is held up at our end, we will notify you
promptly.
Allow time when ordering. We ask that you place orders at least 2 days before
expected delivery.
Open packages on receipt and check for cheese care instructions or storage advice.
We do not ship outside the continental US.
Delivery
We ship on Tuesdays and Wednesdays unless other special arrangements are requested. Cheese orders can be sent to either a business or residential
address. Please note that someone should be available to receive the order and
take it inside for proper storage or refrigeration, so complete your delivery
instructions carefully. It’s important to provide a delivery telephone number
for all orders, including gifts. Without complete delivery instructions, we can
not guarantee delivery.
The “Subject
to Availability” Clause
Because animals are naturally cyclical breeders and grazing conditions change
throughout the year, there is a seasonal nature to farmstead and other fine artisanal
cheeses. Although there are ways for cheesemakers to work around the changing
availability of milk, be aware that goat- and sheep’s-milk cheeses in particular
may go out of stock during the winter.
In addition, expect these cheeses to taste slightly different from one order to
the next. This is artisanal cheese after all.
If a cheese listed in one of our selections becomes unavailable, or is not at
its peak of ripeness when your order comes in, Ditty will choose an alternative.

Christmas &
New Year Orders
Last date for placing orders is December 6th (Wednesday).
Last delivery date December 20th (Wednesday).
There will be no deliveries between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Shipment
of orders begins again in the new year on January 9th (Tuesday).
Plan ahead. If you are ordering cheese to serve over the holidays, choose a selection
containing firm cheeses and large enough pieces to last. Slight surface mold may
occur, but it's harmless and can be trimmed off. Please ask if you’re not
sure.
Payment
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Checks & Money Orders. When providing credit card
information, please remember to include a valid expiration date. Prices exclude
shipping, which will be confirmed to
you after we receive your order. All prices and conditions are subject
to change.
WHOLESALE
- Restaurants, Wineries, Caterers
Cheeses on our list are also available to chefs and caterers in Sonoma Valley,
subject to stock on hand.
We ask for a five-pound minimum in quarter-round to whole-piece portions—but
we’re somewhat flexible, so call to discuss any special needs. Standing
orders and pre-orders are always welcome.
We can also suggest pairings, and Ditty is available to consult on menus and cheese
plate selections.
